Akhilgov: Ingushetian authorities check statement of Maksharip Aushev's father

After the statement of Magomed-Hadji Aushev, father of human rights defender Maksharip Aushev, who was killed last year, that he knows the names his son's murderers, the authorities of Ingushetia have initiated a check. This was announced by Kaloy Akhilgov, press secretary of the President of Ingushetia.

"Immediately after promulgation of Magomed-Hadji's statement, which I read, in particular, on your website (of the "Caucasian Knot", - note of the editor), Magomed-Hadji was invited to President Yunus-Bek Evkurov. During the talk the father expressed his readiness to provide information to the authorities of Ingushetia, which would help in solving Maksharip Aushev's murder. Naturally, such direct statement, moreover, with announced names, could not pass unnoticed by the authorities of the republic," Mr Akhilgov told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

Despite the resonant statement of Maksharip Aushev's father, the official investigation made no comments on the course of inquiry. The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent failed to receive any comments on this case at the Investigatory Committee.
