Snake's bites kill people in Nagorno-Karabakh

This summer, Nagorno-Karabakh fixed 14 cases, when snakes bit humans; two of them were fatal. This was reported by Alen Pogosyan, deputy minister of public health of Nagorno-Karabakh. The reason of snake raised activity was in abnormally hot summer; and sometimes it is not possible to save people because hospitals lack the necessary drugs.

Children from Shusha and Shaumyan Districts died from snake bites. "Although they were rendered the required medical aid, complications followed caused by the point of sting and concentration of poison," said Pogosyan.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed at the meteorological centre of Nagorno-Karabakh that this summer may be quite certainly regarded as abnormal, as the air temperature went up to 45 degrees Celsius, which led to active behaviour of poisonous insects and snakes.
