Ceasefire broken again between Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan
One Azerbaijani soldier was killed and several more wounded by a mine explosion in the contact line of Azerbaijani and Nagorno-Karabakh troops, as reported by the press service of the defence army of this breakaway and non-recognized republic.
"On September 4 at 6:50 a.m. local time, in the northeast direction of the contact line of the armed forces of Azerbaijan and Nagorno-Karabakh, 2 kilometres to the east off Dzhraberd village, another attempt was fixed of advance of the opponent's scouting and diversion group," runs the statement of the Karabakh party.
The press service of the Defence Army notes that "as a result of the respective actions of Nagorno-Karabakh soldiers and the fight that burst out the Azerbaijani troops retreated, leaving one casualty in the combat post of Karabakh forces."
The Ministry of Defence of Azerbaijan has confirmed loss of one of its soldiers. At the same time, the Azerbaijan party asserts that it was "a night attack of the Armenian army on Azerbaijani positions in the area of Gasangai village, Terter District," the BBC reports.
