Suspects of murdering head of GTRK "Dagestan" released from SIZO
The figurants in the murder case of Magomedgadji Abashilov, director of the GTRK (State Television and Radio Company) "Dagestan", have their freedom restriction regime changed: they were released from the SIZO (investigatory detention facility) under recognizance not to leave.
The decision on changing the regime was made on August 25. On the following day the suspects were released from the Vladikavkaz SIZO.
The "Kommersant" writes that the decision was caused by the excess of the maximum permissible term of custody. However, it is not excluded that in the near future the criminal prosecution of these persons may be stopped whatsoever.
The offended party in this case is represented by Abashilov's son Shamil and the casualty's driver-security Ahmed Abakarov, who was wounded during the attempt. The prisoner's dock contains two suspected executors of the crime - Elchin Gasanov, a citizen of Azerbaijan and a resident of Essentuki, and Ruslan Gitinomagomedov, a native of Dagestan. They refuse to plead guilty.
