South Ossetia hosts action "Wall of Lie and Truth"
Today in Tskhinvali, near the building of the parliament, which was burnt down in August 2008, an action named "Wall of Lie and Truth" was held, dated to the 20th anniversary of the Republic of South Ossetia.
A symbolical brick wall was decorated with articles of foreign editions, where, in the opinion of organizers, distorted information about the events of August 8, 2008, was published. Attention was caught by the following highlighted headings: "Stop Russian Aggressor", "Kremlin Pirates" and "How Georgia Was Trapped by Its Foes."
Closer to the start of the action, a crowd of people reading those two-year-old publications gathered near the wall. Later, students and activists of various youth organizations joined them. Together with the international youth organization named "New People", South-Ossetian young people held this action, the idea of it being to destroy the "wall of lie" with the "hammer of truth".
