A participant of an anti-raider's action detained on September, 16 in Sochi released
Irina Kolesnikova who arrived in Sochi together with a group of other women from Krasnodar on September, 16, in order to inform Russian President Dmitry Medvedev on raider's seizures of enterprises in Krasnodar region was released my militiamen four hours after detention.
Irina had spent over four hours in the Interior Affairs Department at Central district of Sochi. According to militia's version, she had been detained for having agitation posters about her.
"I have had some rolled up posters in my armpit and this was regarded by the officials as an extreme action. The officers of law enforcement bodies asked me to unwrap the posters at the place of detention but I flatly refused to do it for we had not been planning any meetings or piquets near the President's reception office. Our only intention was to write an appeal to the leader of the state", she said.
Kolesnikova explained that the rolled up posters she had with her were meant for participation in a sanctioned meeting planned for September, 17, by the supporters of Liberal Democratic Party of Russia in Sochi.
