In Novorossisk, attacker on human rights activist Karastelyov sentenced to a year in prison

Victor Tender was found guilty of attacking human rights activist Vadim Karastelyov, who presented the interests of ex-militia major Alexei Dymovskiy, and sentenced to one year of a high security colony.

The "Caucasian Knot" reported earlier that the preliminary investigation of Vadim Karastelyov's beating was over in the end of April this year.

Today, the defendant refused to plead guilty; and the verdict will be probably appealed against, the RAPSI (Russian Agency of Legal and Judicial Information) quotes lawyer Marina Dubrovina, who presenting the interests of the suffered party.
