South Ossetia restricts stay of children in public places at night

As reported by Elza Dzhioeva, head of the department for additional education of the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth Policy of the Republic of South Ossetia (RSO), children and teenagers are forbidden to stay at night in public places without their parents.

According to her story, the decision arrived to her Ministry. "In our turn, we'll disseminate it among all the educational institutions and publish it in mass media," she said.

"Children and teenagers (up to 16 years of age) can't stay in South Ossetia in public places from 8:00 p.m. till 6:00 a.m. without accompaniment of adults," said Ms Dzhioeva. "Sale of alcoholic and tobacco products to minors is also forbidden."

According to her story, the decision was made by administration of Tskhinvali with the aim to increase efficiency of prophylaxis of children's neglect and offences, observance of norms and rules of behaviour in public places and prevention of negative consequences, the "Res" reports.
