Rostov-on-Don: militia studies circumstances of attack on local residents
Rostov-on-Don has seen attacks of a grouping of young men, who hid their faces in medical masks on city residents. Unidentified youngsters are beating those who drink alcohol in the streets.
According to eyewitnesses who place their stories on the Internet, the grouping attacks drinking townspeople shouting "Russians do not glug!" Young men in the number 20 persons made themselves known last week by a mass attack at the "Solnechny Krug" supermarket in central Rostov.
A crowd of youngsters in medical masks were beating people who drank beer and alcoholic cocktails. A girl who was waiting for her boyfriend happened to occur in the epicentre of the fight. According to her story, hooligans knocked people down and kicked them, the "Echo Moskvy" Radio reports.
According to eyewitnesses, the attackers aged 14-18 did not look like skinheads. Some of them had something like Slav ligature on their T-shirts. They used no weapons and quickly disappeared after the attack. Similar attacks happened in city earlier, local residents assert.
After information appeared on the Internet, militiamen got into play. As reported by Alexei Polyanskiy, head of the press service of the GUVD (Chief Interior Department) for the Rostov Region, "none of the Rostov ROVDs (District Interior Divisions) received any applications from the victims."
