Power agents attacked in south of Chechnya
On September 5, militiamen and soldiers engaged in operative-search actions were shelled in the high-mountainous Shatoy District of Chechnya. Nobody of them suffered; later, they found two knapsacks with foodstuffs in the place of the incident and then detained a suspected militants' helper.
"On September 5, in the outskirt of Khalkeloi village, Shatoy District, unknown persons made an armed attack on law enforcers and soldiers of federal troops and then disappeared. None of the servicemen suffered, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told at the local MIA.
According to the officer, while inspecting the adjacent territory, operative agents found two knapsacks with foodstuffs. "Later, near Khalkeloi village they detained a bandits' helper. Inspectors are now establishing his involvement in the above shelling. A criminal case was opened on the fact of the attack," said the source.
