In Azerbaijan, unknown criminals shell a mosque and kill a man
Last night, certain armed people opened fire on the people who gathered in the mosque yard in the Lyankyaran District of Azerbaijan in the south of the country. The district police authority reports that one villager was lost, and one more was wounded.
The incident happened at 00:15 a.m. in Gumbashy village, Lyankyaran District of Azerbaijan.
The police statement reports that armed people who came in several cars from the neighbouring Masallin District opened fire from a Winchester rifle on the villagers who gathered in the yard of the local mosque.
Elshad Alimamed oglu Guseinov, born in 1963, a resident of this village, died from received wounds. Another villager - Ramin Baloglan ogly Agamaliev, born in 1985, - was taken, with a bullet wound in his breast, to the resuscitation ward of the Central District Hospital of Lyankyaran. According to Telman Khurshudov, on duty doctor of this hospital, after the rendered medical aid the state condition of the patient is treated as satisfactory, the APA reports.
