Consideration of complaint on verdict to "White Wolves" reappointed on September 13
The Supreme Court has postponed consideration of the complaints lodged on the verdict passed this February to members of the nationalist grouping "White Wolves" accused of a series of nationalism-motivated murders till September 13.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported earlier that on February 25 the Moscow City Court passed a verdict to members of a grouping of nationalists named "White Wolves", who had committed a series of murders of non-Slav-looking persons. Nine out of twelve defendants, including their supposed leader Alexei Dzhavakhishvili, were found guilty and convicted to 7-23 years of imprisonment. The defence appealed against the verdict.
The reappointment of the date for consideration of the complaint was made because of non-appearance of some advocates, reports the Russian Agency of Legal and Judicial Information (RAPSI) referring to the chairing judge.
Let us remind that none of the defendants gave up his neo-Nazi views at the trial. According to Federal Judge Eduard Chuvashov, who had sentenced the members of the grouping, "they experienced hatred and hostile feelings to people of another race, non-Slav origin and nationality" and were choosing their victims.
