Woman from Nalchik asks prosecutor's office to protect her children from power agents' persecution
Naida Gadzhieva, a resident of Nalchik, the capital of Kabardino-Balkaria, has addressed her application to Alexander Buksman, First Deputy General Public Prosecutor of the Russian Federation, stating that her son and daughter are persecuted by some unknown power agents.
The application says that on August 16 at 5 o'clock in the morning some unidentified persons in masks rushed into the apartment of her daughter Zarema Gadzhieva. With no explanations and presenting no search warrant they inspected all the rooms; then, they took Zarema away to some unknown place, where she was kept for 12 hours.
"Zarema was accused of participation in terrorism. After that incident the daughter noticed that she was shadowed," Naida Gadzhieva asserts.
According to her story, power agents also went to the city of Kovrov and interrogated her son, who is on regular army service there.
In her conversation with the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent Naida Gadzhieva said that her daughter prays and wears hijab; however, she committed no offences.
Some time ago Zarema Gadzhieva married a resident of the Republic of Dagestan, who rented an apartment in Nalchik, where they lived for three months only. Then, her husband left for Dagestan and disappeared there. There is no information about him, and no answers to telephone calls. Naida Gadzhieva says that she could not get acquainted with her son-in-law, never saw him and did not even know his name. Meanwhile, according to her story, law enforcement bodies are interested in her daughter's husband.
In her application, also sent to human rights organizations, Naida Gadzhieva asks to protect her children from unjustified persecution.
Zarema Gadzhieva has also filed an application to human rights organizations and public prosecutor about her detention, which she believes to be illegal.
The united information centre of law enforcement bodies of the republic, where the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent addressed for comments, answered that they know nothing about Zarema Gadzhieva's detention.
