Leonid Roshal is ready to treat the boy beaten by power agents in Dagestan in his clinic

Doctor Leonid Roshal, Director of the Moscow Scientific-Research Institute of Emergency Children's Surgery and Traumatology, said that his hospital is ready to take Makhmud Ahmedov, 14, beaten by militiamen in Dagestan, for further treatment. The case about beating the teenager is under supervision of President of Dagestan, the republic's government has reported.

Let us note here that because the boy needs additional treatment, now he is hospitalized into one of Moscow clinics. Having learnt about the situation, Doctor Roshal told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that in order to place the boy into his hospital the Ministry of Public Health of Dagestan should contact the Department of Public Health of Moscow to coordinate the matter.

After the story has become broadly public, district militiaman Magomed Magomedov, who had detained the boy, brought him to the Shamil ROVD and beat him there together with his colleagues, lodged a counterclaim under part 2, Articles 129, of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (dissemination of knowingly false data discrediting one's honour and dignity, and undermining one's reputation in mass media).

Today it became known that consideration of the claim lodged by the district militiaman Magomed Magomedov on bringing Makhmud Ahmedov's parents to criminal liability was indefinitely postponed. The judge made such decision, because a criminal case had been opened against the militiaman himself for abuse of official powers.
