Chechnya cuts working day during Ramadan
Till the end of the sacred month of Ramadan the leadership of the Chechen Republic has reduced the working day. The respective decree was signed by Odes Baisultanov, Chairman of the Government of Chechnya, who is temporarily acting has as President of the republic, while Ramzan Kadyrov is on vacations.
From August 12 till September 10 state institutions will work from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a lunch break at 1:30-2 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays will be days off.
"Reduction of working hours during Ramadan is a good thing, as it is considerably reducing load on fasting believers. It can be only welcomed," said the spokesman of the Muftiyat of Chechnya.
