Checks of spending funds allotted on restoration of South Ossetia resulted in 11 criminal cases
The Public Prosecutor's Offices of the Russian Federation and South Ossetia have checked the way the funds allocated from the Russian budget were spent on restoration and social and economic development of South Ossetia; as reported by the Russian General Prosecutor's Office, 11 criminal cases have been initiated.
The official website of this Office reports that currently a complex of steps has been taken towards ensuring the purposeful and efficient use of funds and stopping malversations, including corruption.
According to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent, after a long break and absence of financing, construction of new houses has no resumed in South Ossetia for those who lost their property in August 2008. In streets Tskhinvali, builders and construction machinery appeared again.
