Armenia: students of de-licensed higher schools can move to other ones
After the decision of the Ministry of Education of Armenia to deprive a number of higher schools of their licenses, over 2000 students will be able to move, in the period from August 17 to September 15, to other establishments to continue their studies. This was announced to journalists by Aga Avetisyan, deputy minister of sciences and education of Armenia.
"If the difference in academic subjects is no more than 8 hours, the students, trained under the curricula accredited by our Ministry, will be able to go to any higher school with a similar or close programme," he said. "If the difference is more than 8 hours, they will have to take additional exams to be eligible for this or that programme. If the programme was not accredited, the student will be able to continue only in private higher schools."
