Court extends custody of the Ingush who provoked incident in Domodedovo
The Moscow City Court has found lawful the arrest of Magomed Patiev, a citizen of Kazakhstan and a native of Ingushetia, accused of an attempt to capture an aircraft in Domodedovo Airport.
The Court has rejected the cassation complaints lodged by Patiev's advocate, who asked to apply some softer freedom restriction measure to his client. In the lawyer's opinion, the investigation, while demanding arrest, had failed to prove that Patiev was going to disappear, exert pressure on the parties in trial or threaten the victims.
In her turn, the official of the prosecutor's office has treated the arrest lawful and justified. The cassation board agreed with her arguments and upheld the previous decision of the Meschanskiy Court of Moscow, the ITAR-TASS reports.
Patiev told to journalists after his detention that by his actions in the aircraft he "wanted to draw attention to solving the terror acts committed earlier this year in Moscow at metro stations Lubyanka and Park Kultury." "I have reliable information about the one who had committed these crimes," he assured but refused to name his sources, the "Interfax" reports.
