Rally "No to war!" held in Rostov-on-Don

The rally "No to war!" took place on August 8 at 9:00 p.m. in the embankment in Rostov and was dedicated to the second anniversary of the start of warfare in South Ossetia.

"We pay tribute to all the casualties of August 2008. They perished for the sake of someone's ambitions - our guys who defended both Ossetians and our homeland, and Georgian soldiers," said the organizers.

The participants used small cups with burning candles to make the words on the embankment: "No to war!" There were not so many of them, but there were plenty of people on the embankment; many of them stopped and listened to the speakers. Then, they put wreaths with candles floating along the river and held a minute of silence.
