In Dagestan, an ambulance was shelled and robbed, driver wounded
As reported today by the spokesman of the local Ministry of Internal Affairs, on August 5 in the evening, an unknown person opened fire on an ambulance and stole over 1.5 million roubles - the salaries of the hospital employees - out of it.
The Gazel van belonging to the first aid department of the Charodin District Hospital was on the way to the Charodin District from Gunib village, where the hospital cashier had received salaries at the settlement-cash centre. An unknown person opened fire on the car from a large forest; stole 1,721,000 roubles out of it and disappeared.
The driver received gunshot wounds and was taken to the Charodin District Hospital. Six 5.45 mm cartridge cases were found in the place of the incident, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
