Militiamen suspected of bribe-taking in Stavropol Territory
Head of the investigatory department at the OVD for Kislovodsk and his subordinate are suspected of taking a bribe. Under the version of the investigation, the officials received a large bribe from four GIBDD (STSI) employees for hiding their crimes.
"The inspector received right in his service study a bribe of 200,000 roubles from one of road policemen. In the near future, the freedom restriction measure will be chosen for the suspects," the GTRK "Stavropolie" reports with reference to Natalia Nekrasova, acting senior assistant for PR and media of the head of the Investigatory Department for the Stavropol Territory of the Russian ICPO.
The criminal case was initiated on July 31 under part 4, Article 290 of the Criminal Code (bribe-taking), which assumes up to 12 years of imprisonment. The details of the case, in particular, what the crimes committed by the GIBDD employees were, are not disclosed, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
