Patiev, a native of Ingushetia, denies hijacking an aircraft
In Moscow, the Meschanskiy Court ruled to place Magomed Patiev, а native of Ingushetia, who caused a flight delay at the Moscow Domodedovo Airport, into custody.
At the trial, the state accuser said that Patiev had hijacked the aircraft and should be arrested, as the resident of Kazakhstan "may disappear from the investigation."
Patiev said in his turn that he had hijacked nothing.
He explained that by his actions he wanted to draw attention of the authorities to the inquiry of terror acts in Moscow metro on March 29, since according to Patiev's story he possesses trustworthy information about the customers of the crimes.
His defence referred to Patiev's three minor children as to a mitigating circumstance.
The court took the side of the investigation and placed the suspect behind bars, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
Earlier it was reported that Patiev wanted to tell Putin about situation in Chechnya.
