South-Ossetian party releases Georgians

The citizens of Georgia, who were detained on July 18 in South Ossetia by a unit of the Frontier Department of the FSB of the Russian Federation for an attempt to cross the frontier of South Ossetia, were released with imposition of administrative fines.

"Six citizens of Georgia were detained; of them four are citizens of Georgia living in the territory of South Ossetia; two others - Khomasuridze, N. A., and Labadze Ya. P., - were deported to the territory of Georgia. The first four were tried and punished with small administrative fines," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed at press service of the local KGB (Committee for State Security).

All the released Georgians were warned about inadmissibility of repeated violations, which may entail already criminal liability, the press service has noted.
