For NATO exercises, Turkey will open its border with Armenia
Turkey has decided to temporarily open its border with Armenia for surface transportation of the military machinery to be used during NATO exercises in Armenia planned for September 11-17.
"The preparation works to opening of the Armenian-Turkish border have exclusive character and are caused only by the future exercises. This is a temporary opening of the border," said Burak Ozugergin, press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey.
The Armenian party has given no comments on this statement so far, the "Interfax" reports.
The joint exercises of NATO in Armenia will be dedicated to opposing natural calamities.
