Heads of children's camps dismissed in Stavropol Territory

In the Stavropol Territory, the prosecutor's office has dismissed, for the period of service investigation, director of the camp "Kolosok" and the head of the daytime camp "Ulybka"; on July 7 a child from the latter camp got drowned in a water basin in the territory of "Kolosok".

Let us remind you that on that very day a group of children from the "Azov" health-improving camp, located in the Yeysk District of the Krasnodar Territory, were carried away by the current into the open sea in the area of the Yeysk Sandbar of the Azov Sea. Five boys and girls, and a tutor who rushed to save the children, were lost. Two more children are in hospital. As established by the investigation, three tutors, who should have watched the children, were drunk at the moment of the tragedy.

As reported by Liudmila Doulkina, Deputy Public Prosecutor of the Stavropol Territory for PR and media, the adults knew that the child lost in the "Kolosok" camp could not swim and "had no means on him to ensure safety of bathing," the RIA "Novosti" reports.
