Lawyer Sapiyat Magomedova, beaten by militiamen, to be transferred to Moscow clinic

The management of the private clinic in Makhachkala where Sapiyat Magomedova was undergoing treatment was under pressure in the form of various monitoring agencies, and a decision to transfer her to Moscow has been taken as result, report the lawyer's relatives.

According to the relatives of Sapiyat Magomedova, they decided to avoid problems for the management of  Makhachkala medical center named after Askerkhanov, where the victim stayed, and continue her treatment in Moscow.

"The republic's power authorities exerted huge pressure on the doctors of Askerkhanov medical center. All sorts of monitoring agencies have flooded the hospital with checks during the last several days", comments Biyakai Magomedov, lawyer of Dagestan weekly "Chernovik", on the situation.

He says that even the forensic expert who was to come for expert examination of the victim on the first day after the beating only arrived on Wednesday, 13 days after the beating.
