Prosecutor's office cautions "Sanhedrin of Balkar Nation" against unsanctioned meeting
On July 5, the public organization "Sanhedrin of Balkar Nation" was issued a caution signed by Nalchik prosecutor on the inadmissibility of holding an unsanctioned meeting. This has been reported to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by Bakhautdin Etezov, deputy chairman of the SBN.
Etezov says that more that ten people representing different law enforcement agencies came to the office in order to hand over the warning to the SBN management.
"We explained them that we never thought about holding a meeting. In response, they said that getting a warning did not oblige us to anything", says Etezov.
According to him, the law enforcement officers spent about four hours in the SBN office during which time the persons present in the office were not able to go out.
The SBN members think that they were blocked so that they could not meet Vladimir Putin who ostensibly was expected to visit the republic. The SBN leadership intends to address the republic's prosecutor about such actions of the power authorities.
