Russia accepts renunciation of RF citizenship from head of Georgian MoFA

Grigol Vashadze, Georgian Minister of Foreign Affairs, is not a citizen of the Russian Federation any more, as announced today by his deputy David Dzhalagania at the press conference.

For reference, in February of the current year Grigol Vashadze filed documents in the Swiss embassy representing the interests of Russia in Tbilisi documents confirming his renunciation of Russian citizenship.

According to him, Russia passed an appropriate decision on June 23, reports "Gazeta.Ru".

"Last week, we received a notification that the Russian party found time at last and, after durable debates and discussions, adopted a decision to grant the application of Grigol Vashadze on renunciation of Russian citizenship", cites "GHN" the words by Dzhalagania.
