In Karachai-Circassia, court acquits ex-head of Dombai settlement on businessman murder case
The Karachai District Court has passed a non-guilty verdict to Marat Marshankulov, former head of Dombai settlement, Karachai-Circassia, accused of murdering Boris Bairamkulov, Director General director of the travel company "Bars" (Panther), as reported by Alibek Botashev, press secretary of the Supreme Court of the republic.
"The court has found no crime elements in the actions of the defendant, and decided to acquit Marshankulov," Mr Botashev said.
The verdict can be appealed against within ten days; otherwise it will enter its legal force, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
Meanwhile, according to the materials of the case, the investigation and the prosecution were sure that the defendant's guilt would be proved, the "Komsomolskaya Pravda" writes.
