Georgian priest asks political shelter in South Ossetia
On June 23, a churchman from Georgia addressed the authorities of South Ossetia with a request of political shelter.
On preliminary data, his wife and four children were detained by law enforcement bodies of Georgia.
The IA "Interfax" reports with reference to a source in South-Ossetian law enforcement bodies that the churchman left Georgia two days ago.
So far, there are no official confirmation of this information and comments from the Georgian party.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on June 23 David Davitashvili, a veteran of armed forces of Georgia, applied for political asylum in Russia for himself and his family under the motive that he has nowhere to live in Georgia.
