Fourteen protesters detained in Dagestan

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Dagestan, today in the Kizlyar District of this republic, where an action was held with a demand to accelerate clearing-out of the fate of local resident Ahmednabi Nazhmutdinov, who disappeared on May 30, a militiaman was wounded and several protesters were detained.

Earlier, Zagir Musaev, a native of Cherniayevka village, Kizlyar District, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that today in the morning residents of his village blocked the Federal Highway "Rostov-Baku", demanding to accelerate the search of their fellow countryman Ahmednabi Nazhmudinov, who disappeared on the day of his wedding.

The MIA of Dagestan has reported that at dispersal of the rally a militiaman received a gunshot wound in his leg, the ITAR-TASS reports.

Militiamen have detained 14 most active participants of the action and delivered them to the local ROVD (District Interior Division), the RIA "Dagestan" reports.

About 500 persons took part in the protest action. One of them, Magomed Magomedov has stated that the action will last till high-ranking officials arrive from Makhachkala. "We want to see a person, who can say particularly what the power is going to undertake," he said.
