Tsotne Gamsakhurdia stops his dry hunger strike

Tsotne, son of the first president of Georgia Zviad Gamsakhurdia, imprisoned in Tbilisi, has passed over from his dry hunger strike to a usual one.

Lawyer Georgi Tevzadze said that today he visited Tsotne Gamsakhurdia at Prison No. 5 in Gldani. According to his story, his client decided to switchover to a traditional hunger strike so that "to continue his struggle against injustice applied to prisoners," the "Georgia Online" Agency reports.

Earlier, on June 7, Nana Kakabadze, leader of the NGO named "Former Political Prisoners - for Human Rights", said that Tsotne Gamsakhurdia was in critical situation, as the "News Georgia" Agency reports.
