Explosion in Stavropol: six persons lost, 46 wounded
The number of victims of the explosion in Stavropol is on the rise. According to the latest data, six persons were killed and 46 more were injured.
Currently, doctors estimate the health condition of most of their patients as average gravity. A child - a girl of about ten - died in hospital after the explosion, as the RIA "Novosti" reports.
The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed by a young woman living not far from the Palace of Culture and Sports, who was an eyewitness of the incident, that some 20 minutes before the explosion she saw a car with OMON (special-purpose militia) fighters there. Law enforcers with dogs and people in civilian were running across the square; three ambulances arrived as if in advance; however, nobody tried to evacuate people.
Today, a concert of the Chechen ensemble "Vainakh" was to take place in the Stavropol Palace of Culture and Sports. The explosion was triggered just a couple of minutes before the concert.
