Krasnodar Territory: militiamen opened fire and killed a man

On May 10, militiamen of the Kurganinsk District, Krasnodar Territory, made use of their service firearms to sooth down a group of young men. As a result of the incident two persons were wounded, one of them later died in hospital. According to preliminary data, earlier law enforcement bodies received information that a big group of youth was to rally in the place of incident for their showdowns.

"Yesterday in the evening in Schebenozavodskoi settlement, Kurganinsk District, in the highway, at suppression of hooligan actions of a group of young men who arrived in ten cars from Novokubanskaya village, one of young men made a pistol shot at the militiamen and continued threatening them with the pistol," said a source in law enforcement bodies.

In response, law enforcers made some warning shots in the air, and then one of them opened fire to kill at the crowd from his Kalashnikov sub-machine gun. Two young men were wounded, one of them later died in hospital, the "Live Kuban" writes. 19 persons were detained.
