Investigation of the attack on human rights activist Karastelev completed in Krasnodar Krai
Today, preliminary investigation has been completed in Krasnodar Krai on the case of beating of Vadim Karastelev, head of Novorossijsk Committee on Human Rights, who represents the interests of former militia major Alexei Dymovski.
According to the investigating officer, tonight, the criminal file will be handed over to the prosecutor for approval.
The press service of the human rights association "Agora" reports that Karastelev, together with lawyer Marina Dubrovina who represents his interests, have got acquainted with the criminal case file. The human rights activist still does not agree with the prosecution arguments on the issue of motifs for the attack.
"The investigation argues that I was beaten by hooligans, but I am sure that I was attacked in connection with my professional activity and the organizer of the crime has not been identified yet. The executors alone have been established", says Karastelev.
