Kidnapped resident of Ingushetia is at large

On April 25, Khizar Bokov, a resident of Karabulak (Ingushetia), who was taken away from his house by power agents on April 21 to some unknown place, was let off home. Under unofficial data, all this time he was kept at Division 6 for counteracting extremism of the GUVD (Chief Interior Department).

As written in his online-diary in the "Caucasian Knot" by human rights activist Magomed Mutsolgov, "we can state with absolute confidence that this is the best news of this year."

Earlier, Fatima Bokova, a resident of Karabulak, had addressed Ingush human rights activists with her complaint that on April 21 employees of power agencies illegally took away her son Khizar Bokov from their house.

Later, the woman reported the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent of the "Caucasian Knot" that, under unofficial information, her son Khizar was kept at Division 6 of the GUVD, and the advocate was not let to contact him.

The mother said that she is heading one of the divisions in Karabulak administration, and Khizar is a sixth-year student of the correspondence department of the local university to be an economist. In the opinion of the woman, he cannot be involved in the underground.

Ms Bokova added that she had submitted applications to the local Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) and FSB (Federal Security Bureau), and called to the Ingush President's hotline.

Earlier, the Ingush MIA refused to make any comments on Khizar's disappearance.

In 2009 in Ingushetia at least 18 persons were kidnapped, four of them were later found dead.

The "Caucasian Knot" continues tracing the situation in Ingushetia and running the chronicle of local terror acts, bombardments and kidnappings.
