Sochi International Airport to start servicing passengers on April 19

The Sochi International Airport will be commissioned in the testing mode on April 19, 2010, said Anatoly Pakhomov, Sochi Mayor.

Nowadays, Sochi operates in the testing mode one terminal for internal flights. Under the preparation for the Olympiad  in April it is planned to commission new terminals of the Sochi airport located in Adler.

According to the Mayor of Sochi, the delay of commissioning the airport has to do with "paper collisions." He could not exclude that the permit to launch the full-scaled airport should be sought in the judicial order, the RBC reports.

On April 15, Dmitri Kozak, vice-premier of the Russian government, promised that the authorities would find "a solution of these formal legal problems" in the near future, as reported by the "Yuga.Ru" Agency.
