Lithuanian woman suspected of involvement in Moscow terror acts

In Lithuania, a girl of 20 is arrested as a suspect of complicity in terror acts in Moscow metro on March 29. The version of her involvement in these crimes is now checked by the Lithuanian Department of State Security and State Office of Public Prosecutor.

On the eve of explosions in Moscow metro, a woman-resident of the city of Klaipeda named Egle, 20, was arrested at the Vilnius International Airport.

Suspicious things were found in her luggage - data about explosive mechanisms and their use, and plans of Moscow metro. During investigation it also became known that she had a friend - a Chechen guy who lived in Klaipeda and subsequently returned home to Chechnya and perished there, the "Gazeta.Ru" writes.

Egle got into the focus of security services after her persistent attempts to receive Russian visa. The girl was happy when the Russian Embassy gave her one. However, Egle could not know that the Russian visa was granted to her within the limits of a joint operation of Russian and Lithuanian special agencies on counteracting terrorism, the "Delfi" Agency reports.
