Sappers neutralize a bomb near ROVD in Rostov-on-Don

On April 23, a self-made explosive device was found and neutralized near the building of the Lenin ROVD (District Interior Division) in Rostov-on-Don.

The bomb was stuffed with nails as striking elements. A cellular hone and wires were also found near the bottle, the "Gazeta.Ru" reports.

According to a source, sappers neutralized the explosive; and now the culprits who made and planted the bomb are established, the "Interfax" reports.

A criminal case was opened on the fact of incident under the articles of "terrorism", "illegal circulation of explosives" and "illegal manufacture of explosives".

Let us note here that findings of this sort are no rarity in those regions of Northern Caucasus where the armed underground is active - in Chechnya, Dagestan, Ingushetia, to a lesser extent - in Kabardino-Balkaria and Karachai-Circassia; however, they were not typical for the Rostov Region.
