Mufti of Dagestan finds it unnecessary to cancel the law on Wahhabism
The clergy of Dagestan calls "to adhere to true religion, and finds strange the demands of certain officials and human rights activists to cancel the law on Wahhabism," said Ahmad-Hadji Abdullayev, Mufti of the Republic of Dugestan, in his address to the people of Dagestan and Russia.
On April 15, Mufti Abdullayev published his address in the "As-Salam" newspaper running: "We call everybody to exhibit vigilance and care, and not to get under the influence of extremists. It's high time to understand where the alien ideology can bring us."
According to the Mufti, the clergy of Dagestan is explaining, for more than 18 years, the essence of the alien ideology and the must to adhere to true religion.
"However, for some unknown reasons, there are still people among you, who do not quite fully realize the essence of the raised issue. At the background of what happened in Moscow and Kizlyar, the demands of some officials and human rights activists to cancel the law on Wahhabism look strange," the Mufti said.
