Explosion wounds militiaman in Chechnya

In the city of Argun, Chechen Republic, Akhyad Musanigov, head of the territorial militia district, was wounded by an explosion. This was reported today by the Republic's Department of the ICPO.

"In the afternoon on March 11, in the city of Argun, an unidentified explosive, planted in the Toyota car, belonging to Second Lieutenant Akhyad Musanigov, was triggered and blew up. The explosion took place at the moment when the militiaman was getting into his car," said a source from the local ICPO.

According to the source, the explosion damaged the car, while Musanigov received fragmental wounds and was hospitalized.

The GTRK (State TV and Radio Company) "Stavropolye" reports with reference to the inquiry that several versions of the incident are considered, including the service work of the militiaman.

Let us remind you that on February 27 in Chechnya another employee of the local MIA was wounded by an explosion. In the Pervomaiskaya Street, Leninskiy District of Grozny, along the route of militia patrol, a self-made explosive was triggered. The bomb was planted into a metal can, left by culprits on a bench. On March 1, a criminal case was initiated on the fact of explosion.

On February 24, in the same district of Grozny, a Russian federal serviceman was wounded in a fougasse explosion. Then, when making an engineering survey of the locality, servicemen detected an explosive which blew up at an attempt of neutralization.
