Israpil Shovkhalov and Abdullah Duduev, editors of "Dosh" magazine, detained In Ingushetia

The editor-in-chief of the Caucasian independent magazine "Dosh" Israpil Shovkhalov has reported by telephone that today together with the chief-editor of the magazine Abdullah Duduev they were on business trip in Ingushetia, and were detained there by power agents.

The journalists went to see the many-days-long picket held in Plievo village where local residents demand from power agents to release the resident of Ingushetia Mikail Pliev who was kidnapped on March 4 in Pyatigorsk.

"We were on our way from Plievo to Nazran in a taxi, when power agents stopped the car. They didn't present themselves, took our taxi driver away and explained nothing about the reasons of our detention. We think that it was connected with our journalistic work. Someone doesn't want us to give independent information about the situation in Ingushetia in the pages of our magazine and website. I can't say where we are now and what our future will be," Mr Shovkhalov said hurriedly on the phone.

Some ten minutes later mobile phones of Israpil Shovkhalov and Abdullah Duduev stopped answering.
