Six explosions happened in Nazran, local residents assert

The data about the number of today's explosions in Nazran differs. Local residents told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent about six, not two, explosions. According to the latest information, 35 persons suffered.

The victims are mainly the local law enforcers, who took part in de-mining a bomb detected in the morning in a suburb of the city.

Three more victims died in hospital: militiamen Bagaudin Dzeitov and Magomed Khashiev, and a resident of the adjacent house, who was the first to notice the explosive at the gate and notify the militia.

Let us remind you that today Nazran suffered from a series of explosions. As reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of the republic, today at about 9 in the morning, information arrived about an explosive planted in a deserted house in the Kommunalnaya Street.

At once, employees of the MIA, FSB and Prosecutor's Office went there for neutralization. When sappers worked, several other self-made explosives were triggered, which gave grounds to MIA experts to conclude that it was a "trap" prepared by militants for militiamen.

In the meantime, residents of Nazran report that in the morning six explosions happened in the city, not two, as initially announced. According to their version, the whole city was in panic.

"Even for our republic, where murders, explosions and kidnappings happen every day, the today's incident is unusual," Vakha Chapanov, head of the news agency "Maximum", who was personally present at the place of the incident, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

Also today in Nazran unidentified persons shelled from sub-machine guns the house of Militia Major Rustam Khalukhaev, an employee of the MIA centre for combating extremism. Fortunately, there were no casualties and victims.
