Kadyrov: four suicide bombers liquidated in special operation, a militiaman was lost

Four militants-suicide bombers who "planned to commit a series of terror acts by blowing themselves up" were killed today during a special operation in the Oktiabrskiy District of Grozny, as reported by President Ramzan Kadyrov. His Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) reports that one militiaman was lost.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that this was already second large special operation in Chechnya for the last two days.

The Ministry said that today's operation started at about 1 p.m. Moscow time. "On the basis of available operative information, a group of militants was blocked in one of private houses located in the Bagrationa Street. Supposedly, there were two women among them," the ITAR-TASS was told at the MIA.

Ramzan Kadyrov and MIA's boss Ruslan Alkhanov personally arrived to the venue to observe the special operation. Mr Kadyrov told journalists that "in fact, suicide bombers were prepared in the house; it was full of explosives, tools for self-undermining and communication facilities."

The "Interfax" quotes the President who said that the explosives found in the house were identical by composition to the explosive matter used last night by terrorist-suicide bomber Anzor Khashumov in the Gurina Street.
