Isa Yamadaev: Sulim needs urgent surgery

Marina Volodina, deputy head of the press service of REN TV, reports, with reference to Isa Yamadaev, brother of Sulim Yamadaev, former commander of the "Vostok" battalion, that Sulim needs an urgent surgery.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the attempt on Sulim Yamadaev was committed in Dubai on March 28. The gunman made three pistol shots at him and disappeared.

"He's to face a complex surgery; it'll be done, if the relatives give their consent," Isa Yamadaev, now the head of the family, told the REN TV. "But if there's no 100-percent guarantee that he'll survive, we don't want him to be operated on."

Making his comments on the rumours that Sulim had not survived the attempt in Dubai, Isa Yamadaev repeated all over again that this is not true.

"Sulim is alive; and all those rumours allegedly related to his funeral have many deficiencies, starting with the place of his alleged burial and ending with those who were present at the funeral. He can't appear as an evidence for that simple reason that he is under the programme of witness protection. One of these days he managed to make a call; and all the time he talked to our mother, since before, right from the moment of the attempt, she couldn't talk to him," Isa Yamadaev said in his interview to the "Moskovskiy Komsomolets".
