Isa Yamadaev states preparation of new attempt on him
Isa Yamadaev, brother of the Hero of Russia Sulim Yamadaev, ex-commander of the special battalion "Vostok", has stated that a sniper's attack on him is being prepared.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the attempt on Isa Yamadaev became known on July 29, on the following day after the incident. Initially, sources in law-enforcement bodies refuted this information; but later Isa Yamadaev told about the attempt himself; and then this information was confirmed by Vladimir Markin, spokesman of the ICPO of Russia, who had stated that the failed gunman, according to inspectors, acted on mercenary grounds.
"A week ago I received information that another attempt is prepared on me," said Isa Yamadaev. "After the failed attempt in July, I tried to guess what they would invent for the next time. I thought they'd try to use poison. But my sources have warned that a sniper had been hired and advised me to be extremely cautious."
Isa Yamadaev asserts that he is now forced to hide his whereabouts and tries not to go out, as the "Rosbalt" writes. "Although there's no special sense to hide, as I feel that it's impossible to hide from these people anywhere; I also decided not to ask protection from the authorities, as it's useless," he said.
According to his story, now he makes a visa to the United Arab Emirates to visit his brother Sulim. On October 5, the main hearings will start in Dubai on the case on the attack on the ex-commander of the "Vostok".
As to the attack on Isa Yamadaev in the vicinity of Moscow, the case was accepted to proceedings by the Investigatory Committee at the Prosecutor's Office (ICPO) of Russia. Earlier it was investigated by the Investigatory Department of the Moscow Region. In was done after defendant Khavazhi Yusupov said that influential persons from Chechnya can have to do with the failed murder.
