Abkhazia refutes Georgian MIA's statements about shelling of Ganmukhuri

Zurab Marganiya, head of a frontier detachment of the Abkhazian State Security Service, has stated that the Abkhazian party has nothing to do with the incident in Zugdidi District.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today the MIA of Georgia has distributed the information that at night, on the Georgian-Abkhazian border, as a result of shelling of the post of the MIA of Georgia near Ganmukhuri village, Zugdidi District, two policemen were slightly wounded.

As reported by Mr Kogoniya, according to the data, available at law enforcement bodies of the Gali District, Georgian policemen conducted their operative actions, as a result of which a skirmish burst out in the Zugdidi District, the "Gazeta.Ru" writes.

According to the MIA of Georgia, the shelling was opened from Otobaya village, Gali District of Abkhazia, the "GeorgiaTimes" report.

"The shelling from automatic firearms and grenade launchers lasted for ten minutes, slightly wounded two MIA employees and damaged a police pickup car," the statement of the Georgian MIA runs.
